Emerging research suggests that Alzheimer’s disease may originate outside the brain, challenging traditional understandings of the condition. This paradigm shift could lead to novel approaches in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention strategies for Alzheimer’s.

Anyone ever hear the expression “when you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras.” In a world where there is poison being added to our food and water supply, when people get sick, think of the most reasonable explanation. The most recent possible cause of Alzheimer’s I’ve read about is a build up of heavy metals in the brain which has also been linked to conditions like autism. Heavy metals, like leas for example, have been found in municipal water systems, certain types of processed foods, and even baby food. It’s time we start focusing on the real root causes and stop believing every other possible explanation that pops up on social media. Addressing the real issues and facing the truth is the key to healing from these vicious diseases.

So I read an article- it stated how much the cases of Dementia and Alzheimer’s has A LOT to do with the lack of cholesterol in the brain. Our brains actually need cholesterol to function properly- The invention and use of Statin drugs- it proved that since drs started prescribing statin drugs to lower cholesterol, the cases of dementia and Alzheimer’s have increased substantially-

Having worked in an Alzheimers and dementia care facility, i can say that whatever stage a person is in, emotional trauma exacerbates and amplifies it. During Covid lockdowns we saw far more decline and morbidity due to the stress of being unable to receive family and visitors than from illness. It was horrible to watch. The WA state regulations were more stringent than a prison. Staff was not supposed to touch or hug residents, everyone was masked so they couldn’t see the customary smiles… i can’t speak for other staff but I regularly broke the no-hug rule. I’d see someone with their head down, so depressed, and ask if they’d like a hug. Every one of them said yes. Most said “Thank you so much!” and smiled. They lit up whenever they saw me come in from the office. They remembered love and kindness.

My Dad died from actual Alzheimer’s. Went through all the usual stages and died in the usual ten years. We know what caused it in his case.

He was a teacher. For a summer job he would always work for MONSANTO. His job was. to sit next to a vat of molten plastic all night and tend the machine, emptying it in the morning before he left.

When he was 70 he started doing weird things like chopping down the rose bushes for no reason. He still ate healthy and didn’t smoke or drink coffee. He wasn’t overweight. Hobbies were gardening–he sprayed pesticides–and refinishing furniture (varnishes, stains ).

He also began to seem kind of grouchy and sort of forgetful. Then he went on a bus tour and they had to take him off the bus and take him to the hospital. Turned out bus fumes were the cause

Then one day he drove to my house and thought I had built a new room! I told him that room had always been there Another time he drove us all to an antique shop and they were polishing the furniture with petroleum based oil (Not lemon oil which I have used ever since.) He became agitated and said, Where are we! I took him outside and he was ok. He drove us home but we were behind a bus with fumes and he didn’t know where he was until we got away from the bus and we got some fresh air.

He had always told funny jokes and stories but he lost the ability to think of words. Finally he could barely talk and as things progressed he didn’t know what was going on. He became violent and toward the end, ten years later he developed the shuffle in his walk. All I could do was take him for rides. He didn’t know what was going on. We had to take him to the bathroom. and so on.

Even my mother believed it was caused by plastic-petroleum products. Gas fumes, petroleum based furniture polish, vinyl based paints and finishes, plastic exposure at MONSANTO. It was pretty obvious. At first he’d be ok once we got him away from the petroleum but later it set in permanently. Early on he was ok one day until my mother used oven cleaner. Then he started hollering and acting crazy.

We know it was chemicals, mainly plastic-petroleum. He was DYS, always painting, varnishing, using varnish remover. Took the usual 10 years to finally kill him. He was eventually bed ridden and had to be fed. Chemical overload. Probably some people can tolerate more than others. Poor liver function in ridding his body of the toxins? Something else? But the cause was definitely the toxic exposure.

To this day I avoid plastics and almost everything petroleum based. It had started to make me feel out of it and I used to use oil paints in my art. I never used acrylics for painting. I gave up art. Still, I was diagnosed with chemical sensitivity but thank goodness for early diagnosis. I have reached age 80 without memory problems but I’m very, very careful to avoid toxic chemicals in foods, household products, cosmetics– everything. My sister once passed out upon entering her new apt with brand new formaldehyde smelling carpeting so maybe it’s partly hereditary. Be careful. I mostly blame petroleum derived products such as plastics for my dad’s Alzheimer’s. It’s been hard to write this so please pass the word, you can quote me, but people need to learn. We tried lecithin. We had his amalgam fillings removed. He ate a healthy diet. No other relative got it. His siblings lived into their 90s, few if any problems. We had a smelly gas stove when growing up–did that affect us? Petroleum again. Oil heat. I’ve tried to detoxify with eating green vegetables and and using natural products, always unscented. Someone PLEASE learn from this, pass it along. It’s too painful for me to talk about again. Thank you.
